A friend or acquaintance, usually of the male variety. Possibly bud with a silent 'd' or a local pronunciation of boy, most often heard in the Callan area. "Huh buh?" means, "How are you?' as does "Huh is she buh?" which can be shortened to "wishy-buh?"
