De way
Featured in The Déise Dictionary
Used to describe a direction. Can be preceded by up, down, over, across etc. For some reason we don't say front de way.
Daddy, we went on de rollercoaster in de 'musments and we were thrown all over the shop... we went up de way, down de way, back de way and forwards.

Welcome to the finer side of slang. Would you like me to translate 'De way' in use for you?
Father, we rode the rollercoaster at the amusements and were flung all over the place. We went up the way, down the way, back the way and forwards.
Any good?
